Baker’s water falls located 35 Km from nuwara eliya and 40 km from bandarawela.
baker’s falls is 66feet high.
baker’s falls , located in the beautiful mountain plateau of horton plain,is beautiful. Around the falls is a forest with montane shrubs and tree ferns.
It is named after Sir samuel baker. a British colonial explorer and sports hunter. Below the center of the waterfall is another waterfalls. There is also tree in front of baker’s falls. It adds more value to the falls. A tributary of the belihul oya. it’s a wide waterfall. it’s water is overflowing with drops and rocks.
A large part of the attraction of baker’s falls is the drive to cross the horton plain, inhabited by unique and endemic flora and fauna.
Access to the waterfall is easy as you make your way to the world’s end gap over the horton plains.
There are two main ways to reach this waterfall.
They are from Nuwara eliya and bandarawela. from the nuwara eliya Gateway to this falls welima, accesible through the nuwara eliya and ambawela areas.
